So this may herald a revival.
Jun. 22nd, 2023 08:35 pmAhh, my old friend. Hello.
With the potential decline of reddit (especially for those of us who watched our communities abused by administration) it seems the old internet may make a return - discrete websites, forums and fansites, the erosion of walled gardens!
Oh, how one hopes; the consolidation of the net to all of three sites has been a tragic loss.
Perhaps the folly of Spez is a blessing.
I've deeply missed the freedom of a wider web - yes there's mroe difficulty, more consideration to be taken, but it's a fresher air than the stagnation of those cloistered halls.
I've been playing Caves of Qud lately, bloody fantastic game. Enjoying it immensely. Recommend it. Hard to really describe beyond it's a kind of a roguelike, though the general overarching plot remains, and you can play it non-rogueish if you like. The char-genning/building elements are very fun.
I spent 2 days irl lost in some caves beneath the salt desert. :D
